Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By browsing The L House, downloading software from it, or reading anything published here, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the correct action is to close the tab — nothing here is required of you.
2. What this site is
The L House is a personal portfolio and a public notebook. It presents software I built in my own time, with links to the source code of each project. It is not a company, not a store and not a service with support staff.
3. The software is provided as is
Every program listed here is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied. The code may contain bugs, broken features and security vulnerabilities. I build all of this alone, and I am 16 years old.
That is exactly why the source code is public: so that you can check it, fix it, harden it and use it in a way that suits you. Please read the code before you trust it with anything that matters.
4. Open-source licence
Each repository carries its own licence — usually MIT. You are free to use, study, modify and redistribute the code under the terms of that licence. Keep the copyright notice and the licence text intact; the licence travels with the code.
5. Responsible use
You agree not to use anything from this site to break the law, to harass or harm other people, to attack systems you are not authorised to test, or to distribute malware. You agree to use the software only for lawful, ethical purposes, and to accept responsibility for how you use it.
6. Security tools in particular
KernelSpy, pyDex, KaliPilot and LockTab are security-related tools. Use them on software you own, on systems you have been explicitly permitted to test, or in an educational context. Using them against systems you have no authorisation to touch can be a criminal offence in most countries, and it is never acceptable here.
The same applies to the output of these tools: a vulnerability report is information about real systems, and the right to report a flaw is not the same as the right to exploit it.
7. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damage, loss of data, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or any software obtained through it — including any security incident, data loss or corrupted file.
The software is free and open-source precisely because the risk is yours to manage. Run it in a sandbox, back up your data, and keep your own copies.
8. No guarantee of availability
No part of this site or its links is guaranteed to be available, error-free or permanent. Links to external projects may disappear when a project is renamed, moved or retired.
9. Third-party links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, their privacy practices or their availability.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site evolves. The version on this page is the one that applies; the date at the top reflects the last change.
